  I have been admitted into quite a few hospitals over the past 12 years and am always appreciative and very grateful for the Wonderful care I have received from the hard working and dedicated nursing team and doctors. The same can be said for my admission in West Gippsland Hospital.

  Im pregnant and went there as i was bleeding and the Emergency Dept couldnt even give me a Doppler or quick ultrasound to check heart beat. Said i had to book in for it!

  Had son in pediatric ward on several occasions. Staff in a&e are good. So is pediatrics ward staff.

  My stay there was for eight days and I found the food served to me at each meal quite atrocious and often unedible. I was on a normal diet so was given a choice of two different meals per sitting as is the norm. I feel what one eats is an important part of ones recovery. I am aware that there is a budget to adhere to in the public system but that was no excuse for the bad quality and preparation of the meals offered. A strong suggestion would be for the kitchen staff to eat the food themselves for a week or consider changing the supplier if it is prepared else where.
